This article on Wired caught my interest. It outlines a company that takes pictures of prisoners and their families and uses the graphics program Photoshop to put them in exotic locations, instead of the visiting area at the prison. It seemed like a nice idea.
What really caught my attention though, was that I did this exact same thing as a joke to my Grandmum. My brother and I, and our wives took a group photo in mom's front yard. Then I took the photo, cut out the background, and stuck us in a field of flowers. Like so:
I sent the photo to Grandmum's Cieva picture frame and waited to see what happened. Well she wanted to know where we had taken that amazming photo. I let the cat out of the bag and told her it was a fake. I had grand plans to slowly make each picture more and more unbelievable, but I haven't gotten around to it yet.
I could've been making some money, but I couldn't make the leap from tricking Grandmum to catering to convicts. I never see the potential...

Hey Lew...I don't think there is big bucks with taking photos of prisoner/families and putting them in "wishful thinking" places. it doesn't matter anyway 'cause they are still in prison. Locked up and going nowhere.
I still think your idea for making Grandmum smile is the best...and you could post them to me, too. I would enjoy seeing what places you come up with and it would make me smile, too.
Actually, your blog readers would probably enjoy them, too. Mum
right you are...
