Virginia wants to ban teens from using their cellies while driving
So the senate in my home state is going to ban the use of cellphones behind the wheel for anyone under the age of 18. It doesn't matter if you're using any type of hands-free device, it's all bad.
I can understand the reasoning. It's kind of like smoking. Everyone knows the risks involved, but a lot of people still do it. Including me. (driving and calling, not smoking.) Take a look at the comments though. A lot of people bustin on the old commonwealth.

Good for Virginia....but why focus on the teenagers. i do believe the young mothers driving the SUV's with a couple of toddlers/babies in carseats with the video playing to be the worst offenders of those talking on the phone and not paying attention to the world outside the car. Talk about distractions while driving.
I guess the case in favor of restricting the teenagers is the fact that they don't quite have the experience to be doing multiply things while driving. We old timers -I have been driving since I was 15 and I am now 54 - are experts at multi=tasking while we drive. We have been adding them as we go along so it was easier. Mama J
