Former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich yesterday said the country will be forced to reexamine freedom of speech to meet the threat of terrorism.
Gingrich, speaking at a Manchester awards banquet, said a "different set of rules" may be needed to reduce terrorists' ability to use the Internet and free speech to recruit and get out their message.
It's a slippery slope people, so stay vigilant.

I have heard Mr. Gingrich speak and have found him to be a very forward thinking person (most History profs are) and they do tend to speak their mind (uncle Russ comes to mind). We are dealing with folks that do not follow the rules of "civilized" fighting and target civilians as well as military.
I am not too hopeful about the change in Congress. There are some Dem's that want to legislate talk radio out of existance. I see that as a greater threat to free speech.
As far as getting our freedoms back, I still get around the country pretty well, still speak my mind and worship in the faith of my choice. I do not think I have lost any of my freedoms
