What with all the impending births I thought I might bring up a new bit of technology for new parents. Namely the Robopax BabySitter.
But what it is, man? (that's jive talk)
It is a platform that will automatically rock your baby to sleep. It works via a platform on which you place your stroller. Apparently it can work with, and I quote, "the majority of major brand prams, pushchairs, buggies, strollers and Moses baskets." (Moses baskets?) The idea is that nothing soothes babies like that gentle rocking motion, (my mother will testify to having to take some car rides to nowhere just to get some peace and quiet), but sometimes you're just too tired to do it. Now there's the Robopax BabySitter!!!
Of course there is something slightly disturbing about a machine caring for your child, but hey this is the future!

I do find it disturbing...just another way to promote lazy, non-interactive parenting. along with walkers, baby bouncer chairs, propping up bottles, videos...aw the list goes on and on. I'd better stop now before I get up on my soap box and embarrass Lew. your Mum
